Obituary for Andrew Frick

Montague, NJ: Andrew Arthur Frick, 90 years old, passed away peacefully Monday morning, January 23, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ. Born on March 16, 1926 in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Catherine Frick.
Andrew served with the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He then worked as a refrigeration mechanic for Pepsico in Teterboro, NJ for 34 years, retiring in 1987. However, those who knew Andrew know that he never truly stopped working. As Roosevelt once said, “I don't pity any man who does hard work worth doing. I admire him.” Andrew was someone to admire, a man who in his late 70’s built his Montague home from the ground up. When he wasn’t working in the yard or garage he spent much of his time at church as a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC, Sandyston, NJ.
Andrew is predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Kathryn Frick(2008) and 3 brothers, Charles, John and George Frick and a sister, Rosemary Vaughn. Andrew was a devoted father to his 6 children: Col. Andrew Frick (retired) and his wife, Jeanette of Stafford, VA, Michael Frick and his wife, Linda of Nazareth, PA, Barbara Miller and her husband, Michael of Sparta, NJ, John Frick and his wife, Maria of Lafayette, NJ, James Frick and his wife, Lisa of Blairstown, NJ and Kathryn Frick of Branchville, NJ. Cherished by 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from the funeral home at 8:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, NJ will be at 9 AM. Interment to follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Memorial gifts to Compassionate Care Hospice, 350 Sparta Avenue, Bldg B, Suite 2, Sparta, NJ 07871 would be appreciated.
