Obituary for Irene J Arguelles
Vernon Twp., NJ: Irene J. Arguelles, 86 years old, died after a short illness at her home on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Born to Frank and Amelia Arguelles in Brooklyn, NY, she has lived in Vernon Twp., NJ for the last 6 years.
Irene worked as an insurance adjuster for Royal Globe Insurance in New York City, NY for 44 years retiring in 1993. Irene enjoyed doing yard work and spending time with her family.
Irene is predeceased by 3 brothers, Eugene, Henry and Anthony Arguelles and 2 sisters, Dorothy Chiarchiaro and Olga Pateiro and is the dear sister of Marie Barbosa of Vernon, NJ, Edward Arguelles of Nutley, NJ, Julia Yugueros of Queens, NY, Consuelo Cuyar of Tampa, FL and Evelyn Diaz of Vernon, NJ. Cherished by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great grandnieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 4-8 PM. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at The Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
