Obituary for Elinor Marie Lees (Quinn)

Ocean Pines, MD: Elinor Marie Lees(nee Quinn)83 years old, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving husband and children on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Born to Anthony and Marion Quinn in Somerville, MA, she had lived in Burlington, MA, Michigan City, IN and Wayne, NJ before moving to Ocean Pines, MD 24 years ago.

Elinor was a dedicated homemaker and had represented the State of Maryland in the Senior Olympics for tennis and golf, winning many Gold Medals. She was an active member of the Ocean Pines Golf and Country Club and enjoyed playing paddle ball, pickle ball and leading water aerobics with her friends.

Elinor is predeceased by her daughter, Donna Benio(2015), 2 brothers, John and James Quinn and a sister, Catherine Ogar. The beloved wife of William Lees of Hardyston Twp., NJ. Devoted mother of William Lees, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Goshen, NY, John Lees and his wife, Susan of Lynchburg, VA, Richard Lees and his wife, Sharon of Falmouth, MA, Thomas Lees and his wife, Kimberly of Caldwell, NJ and Tracey Mueller and her husband, Mark of Hardyston Twp., NJ. Dear sister of Edward Quinn of Altamonte Springs, FL. Mother in law of George Benio of Alpharetta, GA. Cherished by 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ for Memorial Visitation on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 1-3 PM. Memorial service to follow at 3 PM at the funeral home. Cremation was private. Memorial gifts to the American Cancer Society, 7 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927 would be appreciated.
