Highland Lakes, NJ: Mary Ann Duthaler(nee Callas), 85 years old, died after a short illness on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. Born to William and Katherine Callas in Jersey City, NJ, she had lived in Rutherford, NJ and vacationed in Highland Lakes, NJ before moving to Highland Lakes, NJ 20 years ago.

Mary had worked as a legal secretary for many years and was a dedicated homemaker caring for her husband and family. She was a parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church, Warwick, NY and was a member of the Highland Lakes Senior Citizens, Bocci, Red Hatters and several Card Clubs. Mary loved traveling with her husband and friends. She took great joy in spending time with family, friends and especially her 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Mary is predeceased by a brother, George Callas and is the beloved wife for 61 years of Robert Duthaler, Sr. of Highland Lakes, NJ. Devoted mother of Laurie Megna and her husband, John of Vernon Twp., NJ, Mary Kate Nangle and her husband, Raymond of Elmwood Park, NJ, Robert Duthaler, Jr. and his wife, Kathryn of Sparta, NJ and Janice Wallace and her husband, Craig of Vernon Twp., NJ. Loving grandmother of Katie Gagliardi and her husband, John, Alyssa Bond and her husband, Jake, Courtney and Colleen Megna, Kerri and Dana Nangle, R.J., Sean and Erin Duthaler, Robert and Riley Wallace. Great grandmother of Madison and Ella Gagliardi.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 3-7 PM. Funeral service on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Christ Episcopal Church, 50 South Street, Warwick, NY at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon Twp., NJ.
