Obituary for Olga Stefkovich

Olga Stefkovich, 88, died after a brief illness in Birmingham, Ala, on July 18. Born in Wantage on April 4, 1929, to Peter and Stella Bazylevich, Olga was raised in Sussex and graduated from Sussex High School. She married Michael Stefkovich on September 3, 1946, and moved to Franklin, where she spent the majority of her life before moving to live near her son Jim in Alabama in 2013.

Olga and Michael owned and operated Michael's Jewelers on Main Street in Franklin for over 60 years, which is now owned and operated by Olga's daughter, Karen Stefkovich.
Olga is survived by her daughter, Karen Stefkovich and grandchildren, Grant and Brooke Pasake, all in Franklin; son, Jim Stefkovich and daughter-in-law, Barbara Stefkovich; and grandchildren Nicole and Rachel Stefkovich all in Chelsea, Ala.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her sister, Helen, and a brother, Bill. Her husband, Michael, passed away in October, 2006.

A Mass of Christian Burial service will be held at 10AM on August 19, at Immaculate Conception RC Church in Franklin, followed by a graveside ceremony at North Hardyston Cemetery in Hamburg.
