Obituary for Alexander Rovinsky

Branchville, NJ: Alexander Rovinsky, 92 years old, died after a short illness at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover, NJ on Saturday, July 22, 2017. Born to Stanislaus and Rose Rovinsky in Eynon, PA, he lived in Rutherford, NJ and Bayville, NJ before moving to Branchville, NJ 30 years ago.

Alexander served with the United States Army with the 101st Engineering Combat Battalion, Company C during WWII. He then worked as a paint sprayer for Otis Elevators in Harrison, NJ for 20 years then owned and operated Rutherford Greenhouse and Hugo’s Florist before owning Branchville Greenhouse from 1987 till his retirement in 2016. Alexander was a former member of the Rutherford Shade Tree Commission and a member of the Lithuanian Fishing Club in Kearny, NJ he took great joy in his time fishing.

Alexander is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Stella Rovinsky(2009) and is the devoted father of Alexander Rovinsky and his wife, Debra of Highland Lakes, NJ. Loving grandfather of Alex Rovinsky and his wife, Rebecca of San Diego, CA and Michael Rovinsky of Rota, Spain.

Graveside services will be Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11;00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Funeral arrangements by Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ.
