Obituary for Rosemary Murray

New Providence; Rosemary Murray, 75, passed away Friday December 8, 2017 at Overlook Medical Center Summit, NJ. Rosemary was born in Dumont, NJ on July 26, 1942 to the late Harvey and Madeline (née Mintel) Murray and was a resident of Howorth, Chatham, and Lake Mohawk, Manhattan and Brooklyn and the last year in New Providence, NJ.

Rosemary was a graduate of Our Lady of the Lake High School in 1960. She went on to attend St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Patterson, NJ, as well as NYU College of Nursing in NYC; graduating with distinction as a member of the Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nurses. She served as a Nurse Educator at City College of New York, followed by many years as Director of the Mount Sinai Hospital School of Continuing Education for Nursing. Her last position was in the Department of Nursing Education at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan and finally retiring in 2000.

Rosemary was predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick O'Malley in 2011.

Rosemary is survived you her sisters, Mary Esther Healy in Sumter, SC and Madeline Watson of Goose Creek, SC, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends will be received on December 23rd from 9AM to 11:30AM at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home One Main Street, Franklin, NJ and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial service at 12PM at Immaculate Conception RC Church with interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery immediately following the service.
