Thanks for the Memories
Thanks for the memories Roe. Of our meeting at age 17 as we entered the hallowed halls of Saint Joseph school of nursing in Paterson New Jersey. The laughs ,the fun, the Jersey Shore ,the knowledge imparted on our three-year journey to become nurses .
We stayed a year at St . Joes horning our skills. Roe on her beloved orthopedics floor and Sheila Ryan and I
In ICU. We were then ready for our next big adventure moving to NewYork City. No problem for nurses getting a job. We three were hired at New York university hospital on first Avenue. We stayed in the nurses residence until our new apartment building was completed. We moved into 10th.floor apartment awith a doorman, with a canopy and with roaches
Our one bedroom apartment was just fineFor Rosemary Murray, Sheila Ryan and Pat ORourke with our three little twin beds . I guess you had to be Irish and Catholic to get into that apartment.
As I moved away from Manhatten in 1966 Thanks for keeping our friendship alive and strong through many LONG phone conversations and some fun vacations.
I will always treasure our friendship and miss your wonderfull sarcastic sense of humor.
I am happy knowing you are once again happy back in Patricks arms.
Hopefully meet again someday dear friend.
Love , Pat ORourke Bednar
