Obituary for Sherman C Ellett

Lafayette: Sherman C. Ellett, 93, passed away on Sunday January 21, 2018 peacefully at the home of his niece and her husband. He was born over the mountain (Layton) to Henry and Ada Morgan Ellett. H e was the youngest of 8 siblings, Henry, Mary DeGroat Vandenheuvel, Mildred Trube, Leo, Mable, Maude Losey, and Cora Jackson and the last one surviving.

He served in the US Army in Germany during WW II. He worked for many years in Local 913, the Laborers Union and retired in 1987.In his younger days he was an avid hunter and “dog man”. Raising and selling coon dogs and fox terriers.

He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Charlotte (Johnson) in 1995.

Sherman is survived by nieces and nephews up to 5 generations.

All relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at North Hardyston Cemetery, Rt.94, Hardyston Township, NJ on Wednesday January 24th at 11AM.
