Lafayette; Joan E. Schenk, 84, passed away on Saturday March 31, 2018. Joan was born on April 15, 1933 in Passaic, NJ to the late Anthony and Bertha (nee Paino) LoSchiavo. Joan was a resident of Vernon and the last 29 years in Lafayette.

Joan was a secretary for the Township of Vernon for 32 years retiring in 2005. Joan was a member of the Red Hat Society, the St. Jude seniors; she enjoys travelling, cruises, gambling, dancing and New York City theatre trips.

Joan was predeceased be her seven brothers and sisters.

Joan is survived by her son, Wayne Schenk and his wife Barbara of Wantage and her daughter, Deborah Morgan and her husband Donald of Saylorsburg, PA, and her grandchildren, Anthony, Jamie and Shannon, and her great grandchildren, Kasiah and Aubrey.

Relatives and friends will be received on Friday April 6th from 9AM to time of services at 11AM at the Ferguson- Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94, Vernon, NJ (GPS use 1 Vanderhoof Court), and committal interment service to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ.
