OBITUARY
Ogdensburg, NJ: John Garfield Crane, 62 years old, died unexpectedly at St. Clare’s Hospital, Denville, NJ on Friday, June 29, 2018. Born to Frederick and Helen Crane in Sussex, NJ, he has been a lifelong resident of Ogdensburg, NJ.
John served with the United States Army National Guard and then worked for Ames Rubber in Hamburg before becoming a custodian for the Hardyston Board of Education for many years. John was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and camping.
John is the beloved husband for 37 years of Irene Crane(nee Ross) of Ogdensburg, NJ. Devoted father of Shawn Crane of Ogdensburg, NJ and Austin Morris. Grandfather of Shane, Zoey, Davin and their mother, Amy. Cherished by Stephanie, Caitlyn and Blake. Dear brother of Beatrice Cran, step brother of Leroy Wright and his wife, Mary of South Carolina, Mary Algabright and her husband, Mike of Virginia, Billy Wright of Dover, NJ and Carl Wright of Arizona. God father of John and Roy Micke and Nicole Kymer and Vincent Boyer. Loved by all of his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, NJ on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service at the funeral home on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston Township, NJ.
