Highland Lakes, NJ: Barbara Elizabeth Kliemisch(nee Soares), 57 years old, died unexpectedly at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Warwick, NY on Sunday, September 16, 2018. Born to Joseph and Carol Soares in Elizabeth, NJ, she has been a resident of the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Twp., NJ for the last 30 years.

Barbara received her bachelor’s degree in design and worked as a clothing designer, most recently as a self employed free lance designer. She was a member of the Christ Community Church, Warwick, NY. Barbara took great joy in gardening, painting, decorating, cooking and traveling. She was well known for her clothing donations.

Barbara is predeceased by her father, Joseph Soares, a brother, Joseph Soares, Jr. and is the beloved wife for 29 years of Keith Kliemisch of Highland Lakes, NJ. Devoted mother of Kristen Kliemisch of Charlotte, NC and Kyle Kliemisch of Highland Lakes, NJ. Loving daughter of Carol Soares of West Creek, NJ. Dear sister of Anna Pona of West Creek, NJ and Thomas Soares of Piscataway, NJ. Loved and admired by all her nieces and nephews.

The family will receive their friends at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94(1 Vanderhoof Court for GPS), Vernon, NJ on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 2-6 PM. Funeral service will be Saturday at the funeral home at 5PM. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, potted plants for donation would be greatly appreciated.
