HARDYSTON –Carol Jaccodine (nee Coyle) passed away on Tuesday, 10/3/2018 at Morristown Memorial Center, after a short illness. Her husband, Tom, was by her side. Born in Weehawken, NJ on Dec. 12, 1945, Carol resided in Hardyston for the past 45 years.

Carol received both her B.A. and M.A. from Montclair State College (now university). Upon graduation, Carol worked as a speech teacher in a variety of elementary and high schools, serving the majority of her teaching career at the Hamburg School in Hamburg, NJ. After retiring, Carol continued to work as a Speech Teacher at Willowglen Academy for a few additional years. Combing her love of working with senior citizens and children, Carol served as the pen pal coordinator of Earth Angels for the last three years.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is known for her candor, her strength, and her desire to genuinely help others. She genuinely loved to teach and to help her students communicate their thoughts and feelings more effectively. Her love of travel led to her working as a part time outside sales travel agent at AAA for several years while employed as a teacher. Although she traveled with her family throughout the United States, her favorite place to be was Schoodic Point in Acadia National Park, Maine. Carol also enjoyed going the theatre, the movies, and cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with and supporting her children and grandchildren.
