I was only a listener to Jerry's show and a fan of his acting on Babylon 5 until listening to a show inspired me to reach out to him through email.  Much to my shock, JD read the email on air a couple of days later.   That event led to my regularly sending him my thoughts on issues and topics and he continued to shock me by sharing some of those on the show and even engaging conversation back and forth through those emails.  He became a penpal and confidant that I deeply appreciated and miss terrribly.  The greatest gift Jerry gave to us all was his availablility as an average guy, who was actually and outstanding leader.  Our world is a lesser place without him.  There will never be another Jerry Doyle.
