I was at an SF convention in Overland Park, KS, and Jerry was one of the Guests (yes, capital G).  When it came time for him to speak, we all had to go into a large room (not the auditorium), and we were seated.  The Host/Producer of the convention walked up on the small stage and announced that once Jerry started talking, the doors would be locked so no one would be able to enter, or LEAVE.  There was also a warning that if a person was easily offended, they might want to leave now.  A young man sitting near me scoffed at the warning.  So, they turned Jerry loose on us.  I thought, personally that is was exhilarating.   I personally can't stand pretense and B.S. and Jerry told us all about his opinion of Hollywood and politics.  The young man sitting a few seats away from me, was obviously in distress and needed comfort.  I said to him, 'Dude, you were warned.'
